Print out Tissues with Cells : 3D Printing √ us out on twitter @ coreplanner

3D Printing is the Future

I have always been fascinated with technology. When I was on youtube, I ran into an interesting video about 3D printing. For those who haven't heard about 3D printing, it's basically just as it sounds; images printed in a 3D format. With 3D printing, you can print out food, weapons, and practically anything that we touch.

The video included many different ways to use 3D printing, but the most impressive work was by Dr. Anthony Atala. He was working on something he called "Bio-printing," using 3D printers to print out tissues with cells. Even though his work was still in the pre-clinical stages, it's amazing to think that soon we might be able to help those people who are born with missing limbs, soldiers that are wounded, and necessary organ transplants.
