A New Face

Fellow teachers will agree that, when it comes to lesson planning, ease is very important!

CorePlanner was created to make lesson planning easier for teachers. The creators care deeply about educators using their precious time to develop creative, effective lessons. That’s why they take care of the nuts & bolts through their software, so that we, as teachers, can focus on what we do best: teaching.

I’m excited to be collaborating with an organization that understands and cares for the needs of teachers.

I am a classroom special education teacher on a mission. Too often we are asked to choose whether we will educate a child’s mind or his heart. My goal is to enable teachers to do both. I’m writing a Common Core State Standard-aligned and Next Generation Science Standard-aligned curriculum which uses neuroscience to teach emotional intelligence. I want kids to be happier and more successful and I know you do, too.

I’ll be posting on CorePlanner’s site six times per month with these two goals in mind:

1. To provide ideas and tips on writing curriculum
2. To inspire one another

Each month I’ll be writing a few Teacher Features. I’m looking for educators whose work I can highlight and learn from.
Educators, more than any other professionals, appreciate the value of collaboration. I’m thrilled we’ll get the chance to do that together.

Hugs,
